Hello, beautiful friends! I’m so excited to share something special with you today. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been pouring my heart into creating a brand‑new Bible study on the book of James—Ya’akov in Hebrew—and I cannot wait to invite you along for the ride.
This isn’t your typical James study. We’re going to explore the letter of Ya’akov through a Messianic Jewish lens, uncovering the rich Jewish foundation and connections to Torah, the prophets, and the teachings of Yeshua.
If you’ve ever wondered how James’ words tie into Hebrew concepts like tamim (wholeness) and emunah (faithfulness), or how the “perfect Torah of freedom” points us back to loving God and neighbor, then this study is for you.
What’s in the Study?
This study is free for members of the Word Girl Vault and Founders. If you are not a member and would like to join, you can do so here.
Six in‑depth lessons, each focusing on a portion of James, with background context, key themes, reflection questions, optional activities, and a prayer focus.
Messianic insights that draw on Hebrew terms and Jewish traditions to illuminate the letter’s meaning.
Practical applications that challenge us to live out our faith—because James doesn’t let us stay on the sidelines!

Here’s a sneak peek at Week 1:
Week 1: Introducing Ya’akov – Trials, Wisdom and Wholeness
We’ll meet James, Yeshua’s half‑brother and leader of the Jerusalem community, and talk about why he greets his readers as “the twelve tribes in the dispersion.” We’ll see how James calls trials “joy” (I know, right?) and learn why wholeness (tamim) matters so much for people of faith.
And that’s just the beginning! Week 2 digs into the “perfect Torah of freedom,” Week 3 explores the classic faith‑vs‑works debate with Abraham and Rahab, Week 4 tackles taming the tongue, Week 5 calls us to humility and justice, and Week 6 wraps things up with patience, prayer, and restoring those who wander.
