I resemble those remarks. I'm sitting here, vaguely remembering how He saved me from myself. I was an arrogant, nasty, drug-crazed hippy involved in the occult when I found myself on my blood father's birthday calling him up and saying, "I need to be filled with the spirit." I had no idea what I was asking. I was so stoned that I had no clear idea of anything. I was barely coherent, covered by an ability to baffle ’em with BS.

I was so arrogant (that when I was going through the process of renouncing the world, the flesh and the devil and accepting Jesus as my Lord and King) that I just treated it as yet another occult practice and gave Jesus six months to prove Himself. Six months later I was accepting my death with Him and thankful that my death enabled me to walk free—or something like that. Romans 6 and Galatians 2:20.

It's taken Him over 52 years to get me to the place where I am a little like Him. He's finally shown me in ways I can understand how much He loves me. The Ruach HaKodesh within has kept me on the strait and narrow path. I'm still blown away. In many ways, I'm still a mess. But what a King I serve! Alleluia!
