Welcome to July’s Scripture Reading Plan: Walking in Freedom!
Freedom in Scripture is so much bigger than the absence of restriction. Biblical freedom isn’t about doing whatever you want, it’s about being released from what was always meant to enslave you so you can finally live the way you were created to live.
This month, we’ll spend 31 days slowing down in Scripture and exploring what it actually means to be free. Not free like the world defines it, but free the way God has always defined it. Free from sin. Free from fear. Free from the weight of trying to earn what’s already been given.
One passage each day. No rushing. No skimming. Just letting the Word do what it was always meant to do… show you what real freedom looks like and Who it comes from.
Some verses will feel familiar. Others might land differently than they have before. Maybe you’ll read “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” for the hundredth time and finally feel it instead of just knowing it. That’s part of the process.
Here’s how I encourage you to approach this month:
Read slowly. Write the verse out. Sit with it longer than feels efficient. Ask what it reveals about God before you ask what it means for you. Freedom is a Person before it’s an experience, and we don’t want to miss Him chasing the feeling.
So grab your Bible, your journal, and maybe an iced coffee because we’re going to spend July learning what it means to actually be free. Not just free from something, but free for something. 💛
