Redemption in the Bible is bigger than going to heaven. This study traces the full arc from Exodus to Resurrection and shows why we're still living inside the story.
“Redemption isn’t just history, its identity.” That’s such a key. Exodus does get replayed over and over again all through the Bible as God called to and recalibrated His people. The question is whether we are willing to listen as He teaches us. Great article as usual!
Ephesians 2:12-22. The longing of God’s heart since his inception of earth and humankind has been to walk with us… I appreciate the clarity and force of your study so beautifully written and shared. Redemption as a daily ongoing focus and hope. It’s what makes forgiveness of self and others active and alive. Are you familiar with Arnold Fruchtenbaum who has neither your style nor flair but is a brilliant teacher of Yeshua as Messiah (Messianic Judaic Theology).
He studied at first secretly and on his own then became a Messianic Jew just post WWII. He wrote “Footsteps of the Messiah, the missing link in systematic theology” among other works. He went on to start Ariel Ministries with the main goal of reaching Jewish people as well as Christians with Yeshua as Messiah. His writing is very technical and information dense. His lectures are information dense, somewhat rapid and dry with a dry humor.
I asked because you might like connections but more so you have a very fluid yet information dense style in your writing. Even though I’ve only glimpsed a bit, a fluid and wry humor. Your work reminds me of his with a hint of John C Lennox. Keep excelling! The world, in particular women, needs your scholarship.
Diane I have not been on Substack trying to catch up w other reading, classes etc. after reading this I realize that I have to read your Substack whenever they come out! Absolutely the best!!! I never thought of redemption as an ongoing exodus story! ❤️
The section, especially, about God kindling a fire....whew! That really hit me! I know we are a work in progress and that God allows things to happen in our lives, but this made it so much stronger and louder! God is doing! This is all part of His redemptive plan! It just took my breath away! Im dealing with challenging stuff, as I commented about before, but God kindling the fire and creating an amazing restitution. I may not see it in the midst, as you also mentioned, but I can KNOW He is. Thank you again for inviting me deeper!
I do love that as well. While we don’t follow the Talmud we CAN learn from it and so much of it really illustrates who God is. It is not just a bunch of rabbinical laws but amazing stories as well.
I hope you don't mind I'm going to give you the answer before I read this. I've already wrestled with this. Number one we're not redeemed yet. But the answer is, redemption does not take place until after the rapture, God receives his purchased possession. And we receive the adoption as adult sons.

Thank you so much for your very kind words. Yes I am familiar with the name but not his teachings.
