Hey friend,
If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of thoughts that wear you down, shame you into silence, or make you question your worth—you’re in the right place.
This 7-day devotional challenge is a spiritual detox. We’re not just recognizing strongholds, we’re tearing them down. One lie at a time. One truth at a time. Rooted in scripture, covered in prayer, and full of grace.
A stronghold is any mindset, belief, or habit that sets itself up against the truth of God. And if we’re honest? Most of them sound so familiar we don’t even notice them anymore.
But the good news? You don’t have to stay stuck. Jesus didn’t just save your soul, He came to renew your mind.
Each day, we’ll name a lie, confront it with truth, and walk in freedom together. And we’re inviting you to not just read along…join the conversation in our Substack chat and share as you feel led. Your voice might be the exact encouragement someone else needs that day.
So come as you are, engage as you’re comfortable, and let’s detox these lies together.
Let’s get started.
Day 1: “I’m Not Enough”
The Lie: I have to prove my worth.
The Truth: Jesus is my sufficiency.
Key Verse:
2 Corinthians 12:9 — "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Let’s Break This Down:
Let’s be real, this lie is sneaky. It doesn’t always sound like “I’m not enough.” Sometimes it sounds like, “I just need to work a little harder.” Or “I’ll rest once I get this next thing done.” Or “If I don’t hold it all together, it’ll all fall apart.”
That low hum of pressure? That’s the spirit of striving. And striving is a counterfeit gospel.
Scripture doesn’t say you are enough. It says His grace is. And that’s actually better news. Because your enough-ness will always run out. His never will.
When Paul talks about weakness, he’s not glamorizing burnout or dysfunction, he’s talking about honesty. About showing up in your reality instead of your curated self. Because the place where you feel least qualified is the place where grace wants to pour in the most.
You don’t have to clean up your act to receive the power of Yeshua. You just have to admit you need Him.
Today’s Detox Truth:
“Jesus didn’t call me to be enough. He called me to come to Him.”
Reflection Prompt:
Where do you feel like you’re constantly falling short?
What’s one thing you’ve been trying to control that you could surrender today?
Challenge Check-In: Hop into the Substack chat and share: What part of today’s truth hit you hardest? Or drop a prayer for someone else doing the challenge. You never know who needs it.
Final Word: You are deeply loved. Fully seen. Wildly covered. And wonderfully weak…in the best, most God-glorifying way. Let that sink in.

Oh this one hit right in the heart! I feel like this at work and running my house. Too much with too much going on and I never feel enough. I have a bad habit that I need to surrender - God keeps giving me nudges - maybe it is time?
