The Lie: I’ve let Him down too many times.
The Truth: He delights in me.
Key Verse:
Zephaniah 3:17 : “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Let’s Break This Down: This is one of the most damaging lies believers carry: that God is perpetually disappointed, that He’s watching you with crossed arms and a heavy sigh, waiting for you to finally “get it right.”
But here’s the truth: He sings over you.
When God sees you, He doesn’t see your mess-ups and missed marks. He sees the righteousness of His Son. He sees a daughter redeemed, covered, and still in process.
His correction is never punishment, it’s love. His discipline isn’t rejection…it’s refinement. And even when you fall, His heart toward you is still delight.
Today’s Detox Truth:
“God isn’t shaking His head, He’s singing your name.”
Reflection Prompt:
Where have you believed God was disappointed in you?
How does it change things to imagine Him rejoicing over you instead?
Challenge Check-In: Today, share in the chat, if you are comfortable, a lie you’ve carried about how God sees you, or encourage someone else by reminding them how loved they are.
Final Word: You haven’t let Him down—you’re held in love. Let His delight redefine your story.

To be completely honest, I often feel that I’ve let him down with my ministry as I’m not reaching as many people for him as I’d like to in my heart. When I reframe it, I realize that he’s delighted in the people I do reach in the lives. I have touched. I also realize that when I receive emails from those who have been blessed by my posts and my ministry.
