“But Adonai was angry with me on account of you, and he didn’t listen to me. Adonai said to me, ‘Enough from you! Don’t say another word to me about this matter!”

What do you think was God’s tone of voice with Moses? To me it feels like a Father (or mother) who have been asked the same question too many times and finally gets frustrated and says “ENOUGH.”

Did Moses ask for this more times than in Deuteronomy? If not why was God so angry at Moses - to the point that he didn’t let him go to the promised land? Was it because of the one time Moses took matters in his own hand with the rock in Numbers

20?

I’m curious.
