This is a very satisfying essay. Ephesians 2:18 is very relevant in this context. It’s about access and “equal citizenship” not about sameness. And the difference doesn’t mean inequality, but it’s still difference. It’s great to find such respect for the nuance in Paul and for the integrity of the whole of the Pauline and NT witness. We shouldn’t just seize on one phrase and wave it around like a tomahawk, if that’s not an offensive image. And to paraphrase Bret Weinstein on other topics, the Gospel may not be complicated but it is to some extent complex. There are things we believe which have to be held in tension with other things we believe. The heretics tend to take one true truth and use it to distort and deny everything else. We need to have some place where we can say, “Yes, but…..”.

Many thanks!

Good analysis of Paul’s writing. In my personal opinion, the goyim are often contentious. As such we use the Gregorian calendar filled with substitutionary holidays.
