Exodus 3:5
“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
💖 The Teaching
We tend to call things holy after the breakthrough.
We shout about holy ground when the door opens.
We celebrate holy ground when the prayers are answered.
We testify about holy ground when the full promise is visible.
But God calls the middle holy too.
When God spoke to Moses from the burning bush, Moses was not at his promised destination yet. He was not leading Israel yet. He was not splitting the Red Sea yet. He was standing in the middle of nowhere… and God declared, “This is holy ground.”
Moses was standing in a place that felt small, ordinary, and even confusing. He had left Egypt, but he was not yet walking in his full assignment. He was in transition, in-between what was and what would be. Yet God met him right there and called that place holy.
Some of us are waiting for the big moment to call our season holy. We are waiting for the platform, the open door, the answered prayer. But right here, in this exact spot where you feel unsure, uncomfortable, or even forgotten, God says, "This is holy ground too."
The middle is not meaningless. The middle is where God shapes your character, refines your heart, and prepares you for the weight of what is coming.
💎 The Coaching Moment
Stop despising the middle.
The middle is the place where:
God proves Himself faithful
You learn to hear His voice
Your roots go deeper
Your faith gets stronger
Your confidence is built in Him, not in the outcome
The world celebrates the arrival. God celebrates the process.
You may feel unseen right now, but you are not unknown to God. He sees you standing here. He sees the steps you are taking in quiet obedience. He sees your sacrifice, your private worship, your hidden discipline. And He calls this holy.
You do not have to wait for the finish line to celebrate His presence. The ground you are standing on right now is sacred because He is standing there with you.
The middle is holy ground.
🙏 Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me right here in the middle. Teach me to see this season through Your eyes. Help me recognize that even when I have not arrived, You are still present, still working, and still faithful. I surrender the need to rush and choose to honor the work You are doing in this holy place. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
