I was actually thinking again today that had my life been a pink float in a sunrise parade, I would have wandered far from the one I love. It would have been a desperate and anxiety ridden wandering, not the wandering and wondering I do in the Lord's hand through struggles and chistling, shaping and forming, setting on paths only to lift me off and place me on a different path. I would not have met the people and the boundaries in life that have given me challenges and purpose and made me hold onto that lovely, rough, scared hand of the Lord God, Messiah-Jesus.

Despite periodic doubts surrounding my current calling, it is He Who will provide shalom when the time comes. "His faithfulness outlasts every failure of His people." It is approximated that between 100,000 and 230,00 Israelites perished by sword or famine. My understanding is that the 'remnant' were preserved and later returned to the Northern Kingdom following the exile.
