Hey friend,
When was the last time you craved something sweet — not because you were hungry, but because your soul was tired? Sometimes the deepest hunger we have isn’t for food, it’s for comfort. For relief. For something that reminds us we are still cared for.
In the Bible, honey is used again and again as a picture of God’s goodness and provision. His Word, His promises, His presence — all described as sweet, rich, and deeply satisfying.
In my original post, I shared this:
“Honey is often used in the Bible as a symbol of abundance and blessing. The Promised Land was described as a land flowing with milk and honey because honey represented provision, sustenance, and the goodness of God.”
And isn’t that exactly how God works? Even when we are in difficult places, He knows how to bring sweetness where we least expect it. The Israelites had been through slavery, wilderness, hunger, and discouragement. Yet God promised them a land flowing with honey.
That promise wasn’t just about physical food. It was about God Himself being the One who would sustain them.
Sometimes we don’t need life to get easier. We need a taste of His goodness right in the middle of the struggle. His Word becomes honey to us. It reminds us that even when life feels bitter, God still knows how to bring sweet moments into the hardest seasons.
🖊 Reflection Questions:
Where has God brought sweetness into your life during hard seasons?
How can you intentionally taste His Word this week like honey for your soul?

Good one! God brought sweetness into my life during a hard season recently. I'm dealing with significant health issues (and life issues!), and God brought two friends to check on me and my biz bestie and friend to keep me distracted, laughing, and once again on fire for Jesus! He is so good!
