Word Girl Rewind - When Midlife Starts to Feel Like a Message
Have you ever hit a point in life where everything around you looks “fine”... but something in your spirit starts tugging for more?
Not more hustle.
Not more stuff.
Just more meaning.
That quiet, holy restlessness? That’s not a breakdown. That’s a midlife calling.
In my original post, I wrote this:
“You thought it was a crisis. But really? It was a spiritual awakening. A shift. A stirring. A divine invitation to go deeper.”
And I still believe that with every fiber of my being.
Because midlife isn’t where God puts you on a shelf. It’s where He starts clearing the clutter so you can hear Him again.
You’ve raised kids. Built a life. Handled storms and served others. And now your soul is whispering, “There’s more.”
That’s not selfish.
That’s sacred.
God often waits until the noise dies down before He starts pulling you into deeper alignment. Not reinvention. Realignment.
This isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you were before the world told you to shrink.
Midlife is a turning point, not into invisibility, but into clarity.
You’re not too old. You’re not too late. You’re not past your purpose.
You are right on time for a holy assignment that requires everything you’ve lived through.
Because this is the season where wisdom starts speaking louder than insecurity.
Where presence matters more than performance.
Where calling gets clearer, not quieter.
🖊 Reflection Questions:
Where have you been feeling the holy tug for more… even if you can’t name it yet?
What would it look like to answer God’s midlife invitation without apology?
