WORD GIRL WEDNESDAY — The Middle Is Messy (But It’s Not a Mistake)
Hey Friend,
Let’s talk about the part no one preaches about.
Not the breakthrough.
Not the blessing.
The middle.
The part where you’ve said yes to God but nothing’s happening.
Where you’ve prayed, obeyed, fasted, journaled, showed up…and still?
Crickets.
That’s what I call the Messy Middle.
✨ You are somewhere between the promise and the fulfillment, between the word God spoke and the reality you’re still waiting to see.
The messy middle is not punishment. It’s preparation.
📖 Scripture for Your Soul Today:
Habakkuk 2:3 (TLV):
"Even if it should delay, wait for it. It will surely come—it will not delay."
You haven’t missed it. You’re not late. God is still on schedule.
Mini-Teaching:
The middle does three things:
Exposes your control issues (ouch, I know).
Strips your idols (even the ones you didn’t know you had — like timelines, applause, or outcomes).
Matures your voice. Because the oil that makes you effective? It comes from pressing.
This Week’s Heart Work:
Ask yourself:
📝 Where am I still trying to rush what God is trying to refine?
📝 What part of the promise am I trying to shortcut?
Remember my friends: God’s not asking you to be fruitful before He makes you faithful.
The middle is not where you lose the promise.
It’s where He builds you to carry it.
If you’re walking that tension line right now, my book, The Messy Middle Manual, was written for you…a guide for the woman who’s still in the thick of it, but still showing up.
You can grab your copy on Amazon — just head to my storefront and click the list called “Diane’s Books.”
The waiting is working, even when you can’t see it.

Thank You 🙏
Ohhhhh this is good 😅🙌
