The Accident That Didn’t Happen and the Verb that Carries Weight
After navigating the exit ramp, we merged onto a wide four-lane road, eagerly anticipating our favorite fast-food meal just ahead. As we traveled along the inside lane, a median the width of one lane was noted. Just ahead to my left was a parked car sitting motionless in a storefront entry way. Like a shot out of the dark, the car darted into the street. Two men were seen occupying the front seat. The driver opened his eyes wide. His facial expression was one of astonishment as though he had not seen our vehicle.
The driver crossed one and a half lanes heading directly for a collision. I was left with no time to react and avert the tragedy. The driver yanked the steering wheel to the right. Knowing that impact would occur between my door and the gas tank lid, I braced myself for the bad news.
The human brain processes risk potentials at a rapid rate. I wondered, “Will I be killed or maimed from the impact?” I turned my head away from the oncoming car. There was no sound, so I looked out the passenger rear window in time to see the other automobile jump the curb on the far outside lane. It stopped after striking a row of tall, bushy trees along the roadside. I pondered, “How is it that the van was not hit?” It was as if the other car had passed through the van in a quantum tunneling at the atomic scale rendering the impossible collision a surreal, ghost-like event. G-d acted with "pakad". He was not passive in His earlier promise of protection. He is the One who continually leans in and revealed His purposes.
Thank you for sharing! I just recently found you through a search a couple of weeks ago. The words you’ve shared recently have been so timely and confirming for me. ❤️
This is a due season word for me! A group of us are doing the Torah portions but at our pace and we just finished Lech Lecha and started Vayera!
I’m in a waiting season for my ‘ish, which has been years! This year, after over 20 years, Avinu shebashamayim revealed who he is and it was my best friend/sister-in-Mashiach’s brother who I met two years ago when he was hospitalized for several strokes and lost his sight.
I was blessed to pray for him and encourage him for several months.
Somehow we lost contact about a year but were miraculously reconnected last year and he invited me to Thanksgiving dinner.
Long story short, Avinu shebashamayim blessed him to regain some of his sight, which He had me prophesy to him over a year ago.🙌🏼👑🔥
It is moving slowly, intentionally and holy, which is new to me! No flesh!
I’ll stop here because the story is long! 😁
I needed this as I’m waiting on Avinu shebashamayim’s “moed”!🙌🏼🙏🏼👑🔥🕊️💖💯
Yes!!! Our GOD is a GOD of ACTION!
