I have felt an increase of Gods love and power and protection in my life from my covenant promises. The term Hesed means loving kindness, I believe? In reference to our covenants. I know God will lovingly pursue me even if I’m not perfect and He promises to bring me back to him. My covenants include promising Him that i would follow and accept Jesus.
“I will be your God, and you will be My people.” This is certainly the truth that makes sense of the whole of Scripture and the whole of God's plan and purpose. I, as a Gentile believer, am included in "My people" only because I have been grafted into God's olive tree by Israel's Messiah. My prayer is that more of my Gentile siblings would embrace this truth with humility and gratitude.
Im so thankful that our God is a covenantal God and that He is in it for the long haul. We humans are messy and needs lots of forgiveness. He is willing to do that, as we are willing to seek. How great is He!!!

Love your explanation of the difference between contract and covenant. I think it’s vitally important these days!

When I truly think about our covenant God, I can't doubt Him or His love.
