I love the connections. I can honestly say I have never made the connection between the scattering of the nations and languages and Acts 2. So cool. Thank you.

Thank you so much!!

I never made this connection! 🤯. It makes perfect sense, though…and kind of a “duh!” that it is so often missed!

This makes Shavuot/Pentecost mean even more.

It is so beautiful how intentional and systematical God is in redemption throughout Scripture.

You are so right. It is very beautiful!!

This is so good! Between you and Dr Heiser I am learning so much more than I ever knew. And back when my boys were growing up….i was a Ms Patty. I wish I had known more.

She's So Scripture's avatar

I was a Miss Patty as well... that is actually what made me do this whole series. Not only was I a student of a Miss Patty but I WAS a Miss Patty LOL

Definitely new and wonderful to me. I love the variety of teaches we can gain from the same story, new faithful Bible teacher. I need to know the clear history and foundations of my faith, not just the allegorical and morals of the story. That's why I subscribe!

And I am blessed by that!!

I have found myself eagerly getting up to read your guiding, teaching words. It is SO evident that God and Jesus shines through you. I have heard Yaweh and Yeshua used before and knew that I would much rather use the original names. It is now getting easier to say...this study fits right in with understanding more of the scattered languages and nations as well as the pentecostal reunification of languages. Thank you for your teachings...I find I needed a way to stop being lukewarm. Yahweh answered with She's So Scripture

Your comment brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much and it makes my heart so happy and it humbles me so much to know people are eagerly waiting for my writing. This has been on my heart since I was six years old and it is such a blessing if I can encourage even one person. Thank you Diane.

I am currently sitting waiting for my husband as he is getting checked from eye surgery. I am still reading Genesis 10 and just blown away by it alone! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Well done. The striking thing prophetically is the many tie-ins to Babel which are found in the technologies which are setting up the means for the antiChrist to run the earth. Just the transhumanist bunch would be enough for that. But they're expecting AI to produce God and enable Mankind to conquer the entire Universe with our minds—and a whole bunch of things which sound distinctly Babelish. And then the end of the great tribulation is the destruction of Babylon itself. It seems like the Lord is going to finally wrap that issue up and judge it completely. The beat goes on…

She's So Scripture's avatar

Like Paula, I can envision that perspective!!

It’s something how much the Lord is pulling together as we run into the end of the age of the church.

I can envision your perspective…another cycle with an ending!

That’s a powerful connection! I’ve never connected the tower of babble to Acts 2 before… I see that now and that’s beautiful.

And if we look into the future, I think we can make the connection in Zechariah 14:16-17 when all the nations will gather together in unity in Jerusalem to worship that name that was introduced in Acts 2.

“Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. And should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, then the rain will not fall on them.”

I really appreciated this and I think it is spot on. This juxtaposition of Babel and Abraham is something I recently studied and has has become a pretty amazing thread because I think this "Tower vs Seed" dichotomy happens everywhere in the Bible. It seems to explain God's purpose with humanity and how the kingdom of God functions, also how other ways of relating to God and each other desire the same outcome (shalom) but never achieve it.

You’re right! It does!

also reminded me of Acts 17:26 which God allowed me to read this morning 😁

“and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭17‬:‭26‬-‭27‬

These were new connections for me. I had been taught that the Tower of Babel was about man refusing to do what God had said to do: fill the earth, and God coming in and basically saying, "Actually you will do it, by force, if necessary."

By paragraph 3 I was like 🫶🏻😁 I can’t wait to finish reading this! I was just thinking the other day about how/why God set aside a people for himself. I drew the conclusion that it all stems back to Genesis 3:15. After mankind had disobeyed God. He made His rescue plan. But If there was to be enmity between the offspring of “the woman” and the offspring of the Devil eventually leading to the final destructive deadly blow of the Devil, then there would have to be a clear identifiable woman/group/offspring that belongs to God and His Kingdom. What you’ve written shows an even deeper layer there about the way he separated and chose them! 🙏

🤔 What was the part about the 70 nations though? Was there a significance to that number?

She's So Scripture's avatar

Yes! Genesis 3:15 as the anchor point for all of Israel's calling… that's it exactly! The rescue plan was written into the curse itself, and you caught that beautifully.

And oh, the 70 nations question is such a good one!! That number connects directly to the Table of Nations in Genesis 10, and Jewish tradition links it to Deuteronomy 32:8, where the nations are divided according to the number of the sons of Israel. It's a divine ordering. Keep reading, because it only gets richer from there!
